It feels dated. Even the "new" designs that they are still applying throughout... they still feel old. Feels like a dated design system. Actually worse, feels like they had devs do the designs vs. asking actual designers to participate with the builds. (That's more accurate I think.)
And still... way too many third-party modules to get it working the way I wanted.
I don't trust those will be maintained, and I don't want to take ownership of maintenance.
Using Drupal always makes me cringe when I have to install a third-party tool.
Meanwhile I've loved Contentful, Directus, even Statamic. Lots of great CMS players lately.
I would warn anyone off of Strapi... had 2 false starts with people asking to use that, only to find some terminal flaws. Like, "Oh you want to associate one of your 10,000 files to this page? We'll put those in a drop-down for you to sift through." Run. In the last 5 years, Strapi has been the only CMS that I've built with that I just couldn't get behind on any level. I would have rather had Drupal on those builds. Ha!
